Self Confidence Advice Guide for Christians

A Christian guide to confidence – staying positive in Christ!

Confidence and arrogance are sometimes hard to distinguish in confident people. Christians of course should aim to emulate the former and our model and mentor must always start and end the supreme person of confidence – Jesus. Though there are plenty of successful folks out there who have managed to do well in life but retain their godly perspective on what really matters. In other words your confidence should never come from wealth or possessions – though if you have worked hard and managed to attain some level of these are all good things and blessings from God.

I’m afraid we’re not big into self-help videos or guides that exclude God here at 101ChristianNetworks – and the term ‘staying positive’ to me has always seemed a pretty meaningless endeavour – especially if you are trying to do it of your own strength. However staying positive in the Word of God and his promises is a different thing altogether and has a great point to it.

With the combinations of your gifts and God’s grace and love, you can endure anything! One of the very best ways to build self-confidence is to work hard at whatever you turn your hand to. There is much talk at the moment of work likely being abolished by machines in the not so distant future – but I am certain this is a mistake and God intended men to work. The truth is there is nothing like the confidence gained by having a task to complete, taking responsibility and doing it well.

Being built up by those around you is also a great way to feel good about yourself but it always comes down to how you feel about yourself, and sometimes, when things are not going great, felling good about yourself can be a nightmare.

Put your faith in God first, then your talents and gifts (not to be down played – they are god given 🙂 Add a little or preferably a lot of passion and faith in God and your calling, and confidence will come no matter what is happening around you.

Learn to be happy and praise God when things are not going well and you can face anything – easier said than done.

But never forget The Bible’s clear words and the real reason you should have confidence – you can do all things in Christ who strengthens you!
