Now that page title sounds pretty terrible doesn’t it? – but I assume you are here because like many Christians discover to their dismay – choices when it comes to finding a boyfriend or girlfriend – i.e. a suitable person to marry (we are Christians right?) is not that easy in todays seemingly ever-diminishing church numbers – and interestingly there are less and less men attending churches – the reason for which I have a good idea but which we can discuss later.
So where can you find a bible-believing, fully committed Christian boyfriend who wants to save himself for marriage as we highly recommend you do? The first thing you must do is pray. Pray that God leads you to the right person and there are lots of wrong choices you can make as the divorce numbers well illustrate.
Also – before you embark on any relationship (and this applies to you Christian fellows too) – settle in your heart to serve the other person before you start asking; “what can they do for me?” or “what do I get out of it?” – of the truly awful means of selecting someone: “do they tick all my boxes?” Let me tell you as a man I would run from anyone that talks that way. Can you imagine our Lord asking that? No. The me-culture is a modern disease probably made worse by social media’s ever expanding and more pervasive me-me-me culture. We are Christians – we serve!
Someone somewhere said all you do to get a boyfriend is “turn up and bring some food!” Well – we assume you really want a Christian relationship a bit more meaningful than that – not a fling as so many guys on the Internet are after (check out all those horrid adult dating sites – there’s literally hundreds!) No – as a Christian – you want something much more permanent and real.
The truth is that many Christian women and men are on the Internet dating scene for one purpose and one purpose only – to find a boyfriend or girlfriend. Unlike most things in life… that can be ‘had’ with a bit of pushing here and there – many of us are eluded the one thing we would really want (seeing as we seem to have everything else!) You would think, that finding a boyfriend should be easy. Surprise.. for many Christians – it’s the toughest thing there is!

Online dating services can make it easier…
Ever wondered where the absolute best place to to a boyfriend or girlfriend is?.. clubs, bars, church?.. Church activities has to be the best of these so get involved. Sitting in smokey bars or clubs is not a nice thing to have to do and should be avoided! Finding a boyfriend or girlfriend using an online dating service just for Christians can still take some effort – though it is far easier and you don’t suffer the embarrassment of having to stroll up to someone at church and ask them on a date with the worry of being rejected.
There just isn’t anywhere offline where guys and girls can go to display their ‘available for serious relationship’ status without feeling a bit like a sore thumb. Sure singles night have been around for years but what’s needed is something simpler and more discrete where both parties feel more comfortable. Well many men – like women (when it comes to meeting people) are shy, self conscious etc and have all the same insecurities we all have. Therefore they often respond well to women if given a little acceptance and help! Try this: show some interest in a guy you like – give him a little encouragement so he knows he’s not gonna look a complete fool if he plucks up courage to ask you out to dinner! It’s not that easy for most so if he does he should get a few brownie points! Men actually quite like women who actively ‘let them in’ to their world – it’s a clear signal to him and he will shine as soon as he knows where he stands if you like him.
