Making Salad Jar Salads

Salad jar – or ‘mason’ jar salads are very simple to create with a little preparation. Here are the steps to creating your salad. The ingredients to make this salad in a jar are numerous and you can make just about anything work. This is within reason of course – many a time have I gone overboard with one particular ingredient in a recipe when the key is to simply taste as you go slowly!

That said you can use most vegetables, pulses or grains with any sauce you prefer on your salads like oyster or soy.  If you don’t want savoury flavours then make a sweet salad using different combinations of fresh fruit. The following are some examples sauces you can add to spice up the mix…
