Easy Healthy Green Smoothie Recipe

Hey – did you know a great way to get your kids and grown-ups to eat spinach is not as hard as it seems? This recipe has an intense and rich irresistible green colour and you’ll be amazed how deliciously fruity this great green and healthy smoothie is! Once the base is made as set out below you can then experiment with adding different fruits to make your own special blends.

Green Smoothie Ingredients

Note: this portion serves 2 people 

  • 1 (200g) tub vanilla yoghurt
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 150g (5 oz) green grapes
  • 1/2 apple, cored and chopped
  • 50g (2 oz) fresh spinach leaves

Method
Prep in only 10 minutes  ›  Ready to drink in 10 minutes Place the banana, grapes, yoghurt, apple and spinach into a blender or food processor. Cover, and blend until smooth, stopping frequently to push down anything stuck to the sides. Pour into glasses and serve.Tip: If you find your smoothie is too thick, add a tablespoon of milk, juice or soya milk at a time until desired consistency is reached.
