Do we have that righteousness by faith that Abraham had?

I had faith for many years. But after many more years of God ignoring the very promises he made to me in his “word” I lost all faith in him and his promises. Words without actions are just hollow words.

Faith like that is why only Joshua and Caleb entered the Promised Land and we don’t remember the names of the ten others who feared the Giants and did not enter the Promised Land. Of all those who came out of Egypt, only Joshua and Caleb made it to the Promised Land. I too am more like those that didn’t. But great to be like Joshua and Caleb and great to be like Abraham.

I don’t get the connection. However I have resigned myself to ending up in hell since I only have hate left in my heart for God. It doesn’t mean I want to go to hell it just means I know without the ability to love God hell is my only option. I can’t force or pretend to love him. So that’s that.
I absolutely do blame God for how I feel about him. Satan my have been the one doing the dirty work but it was God who allowed Satan to answer the prayers I sent to God but it was God who sat there, did nothing except watch it all go down.

It is all life outside the Garden of Eden.
Better to be an object of mercy than to become an object of wrath.
We all have our grievances. Satan seems to be the root of all our complaints. He got us doubting God. Life was fine in the Garden of Eden til the serpent planted seeds of doubt into our first parents and got them wanting to be like God. We have doubted God since. We do not think he has our interests at heart. Yes, Satan has caused havoc in our lives and he seeks to set us against God. The Devil does a very good job of being the Devil.

Yes Satan does as God created him to do but who’s in charge? Does God have any control over Satan? I learned that I didn’t despite being told by Gods “word” I did which was just another hollow promise from God.
Everything I did resulted in crap loads of evil bricks being dumped on me. Some of those bricks were very heavy and highly destructive to life, limb and happiness but all were destructive in some way or another. The harder I fought against Satan the bigger those loads of bricks were.
Just to be clear if I wrote a book full of promises and one of them made the claim that God was going to treat me as a son and a bully was beating the crap out of me anytime he wanted. Beatings that I didn’t ask for or deserve and that I had no power to stop even though I practiced the methods written in my pseudo fathers book.
And as my father he could snap his finger and put a stop to beatings, but didn’t. What kind of father would that make him? And would I be justified in hating him when I among other things I did what the father asked one of which was repeatedly crying out to him for help only to be ignored by him but not by Satan?
I would say God deliberately set me up for failure and my hate is a by product of Gods hollow promises (LIES) and ultimately I will end up in hell because despite God telling people to love thy enemy. No one in their right mind could love a father who makes promises but when push come to shove that father throws his son to the wolves rather than make good on even one of his promises. I know some people will say they could take it and to that I say: Ask God to put you through the same things I deal with to prove you allegiance to him.
MY life is literally a hell on earth and I blame it all on God and his hollow promises. For the longest time I believed (had faith) he would honor those promises but that belief (faith) was eventually beat out of me. Too many years and never a promise being honored. I’m only human with human emotions. wants and desires. Although I believe that I’m stronger than most ( Which I base on the many examples of piddly complaints being blown out of proportion from everyone I have ever come across). But we all have our breaking point and mine has long since been surpassed.

I know you have complaint. I grumble like the Israelites as well. HURT is in your life. HURT is in my life. Many people HURT. We hope for the time promised in Revelation when God dries every tear and none of the former is remembered, but we have new lives in a better place. Meanwhile, we have our grievances. The saints in Revelation ask, “HOW LONG?” Paul speaks of FILLING UP in what was lacking in the sufferings of Christ. Jesus said not to lean on our own understanding.

I fill your pain more than you know.

Please don’t mistake my real hardship with normal problems people have. I’ve only divulged a tiny amount to you about what I deal with everyday and you still have been unable to grasp that.
I used to bring a list of my medical issues when I would see a new Doctor only for him/her to ignore most of the list and concentrate on one thing which was usually one of the lesser evils.

      God knows our struggles.
You are not the only one struggling.
And you are not the only one who wrestles with God.
Many have cancer just as you. Many who go to doctors end up worse. Even the Bible tells of a woman who went to doctors and instead of getting better got worse. It is all life outside the Garden of Eden. Our lives are filled with complaints and grievances. Job had definite reason to complain. Such is life. Our first parents’ decision to disobey God put the seed of sin in all us and made us objects of wrath. We hope by God’s mercy that we go from being objects of wrath to objects of mercy. But bad-mouthing God is not a good way of getting from objects of wrath to objects of mercy. The Israelites grumbled against God as well; and they suffered greatly for it. So, it is not good that we do just as Satan wants that we do and speak evil of God and curse God. It is not the way to get on God’s good side. So, I hope that you will turn back to God. But many are in the situation that you are in where one bad-mouths God because their lives are unpleasant. Some even kill themselves for hatred of the cards that they are dealt. I encourage you to return to God despite your great grievances. You are not alone in grievances. Job cursed the day that he was born. Jeremiah echoed Job and wondered why he was ever born. Moses complained to God of the way he was treated and wanted God to finish him off. We are not alone in our complaints. You trivialize all other complaints and magnify your own. Undoubtedly, you suffer more than many, but you do not suffer more than all. Sorry for your hardships. I hope that God extends grace and aid to you. But it is dangerous ground to complain against God.

Again Mike you’re just looking at my life through you’re own rose colored glasses.

What’s the use if God knows our struggles claims he loves us like we are his children, say’s he will answer our prayers with something good and not bad:

” Is there anyone among you who, if your child asked for bread, would give a stone? Or if the child asked for a fish, would give a snake? If you, then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him ”

Just an example of an untruth contained in the bible. Sadly this is just one of many not so honest scriptures.
Many will think or say you have to be this perfect christian to get God to answer prayers or get healed. Except when Jesus walked the earth who were the people he touched and healed?

Many people think as you think.
We are puzzled. Perplexed, baffled, forlorn, stupefied. We do not understand the mind of God. We are frustrated souls and at loss without a rescuing hand. But our grievances on earth are temporary. We hope the sh– under the sun is not permanent. We hope for a better place. The idea is that we have hope in Jesus Christ. He says to pick up your cross and follow me. Paul speaks of our momentary afflictions. I do hope things will go better for you, John. Maybe the “Alone Again, naturally” song by Gilbert Sullivan more describes how you’re feeling.

That’s a large word salad but it’s not that complicated. God made several promises that he hasn’t honored which makes him a liar or those who wrote the bible made up a lot of the bible. Either way God claims it to be his own word so he’s responsible for what it contains or maybe he doesn’t claim it to be his word?
Which brings me to the conclusion that Gods not what most people believe he is.
I wish he was what the bible claims he is because if that was the case he would have treated me like one of his children and answered my prayers rather then having his brother satan be the one who answered them on his behalf.

When we answer scripture with scripture, we get verses like “Pick up your cross and follow me” and “HOW LONG?” and verses like “holding fast” and receiving “the crown of life”. True, there are verses as you have said, and many people struggle because these verses. You have a right to struggle with these verses and to wrestle and grapple with God over many Bible verses. “God be true and every man be proved a liar.” My own view is the Bible is not from a printing press in heaven. It is a proclamation of the word of God through human vessels.

The problem that arises is what part of the Bible should we believe? If any part of the bible isn’t true then it all comes into question.
There are some parts that can be substantiated through historical records. But still most of it can’t be. So that leaves God/Jesus to substantiate the rest. But the bible tries to cover it’s rear end on that subject.
I do believe both God and Satan are real just not what the bible claims they’re. How much of the bible has been changed over the years? Some have gone as far back to the original writings as possible but still not everything can be verified. Much is left to humans to interpret just like it’s happening today.
My very own experiences has proven to me that far to many very important verses are fabrications. The Bible say’s jumps through these hoops and God will be there for you. Follow him and you will be saved. Ask and you will receive.
What I got was an ongoing hell on earth.
Now you may be able to just look at that as a blip to the road to heaven but I have been living it and it’s no F ing blip it’s real life and it’s a nightmare that has cause me to hate God and hating God is a ticket to hell. Nothing short of a complete repair of what God in his idiotic wisdom has allowed to happen to me including giving me back the years of my life that were taken from me which to date is 35 years. Then and only then will there be a chance I might find love in my heart for him. But it would be pretty tough because the resentment for what he did will likely still be there.
