Update on New Christian Singles Site

Update on new singles site (upgrade to fusion101.com)

Hi all – hope you had a great 2019 and 2020 is going great. After 2 years of building the new site in between other projects I have managed to get very close to finishing my new Christian singles site – as a long awaited and needed update to my fusion 101 free Christian dating service. I very nearly completed the main site it last night wth my friend here but we had a small but serious setback so will take another week or 3. As always the last 100 yards can be the most difficult but nearly there.

I’d appreciate some prayers and it’s very hard going being one person (normally these sites have a team – 1 for each aspect – maintenance – development – marketing – admin etc). It’s bee a loooooong struggle over 20 years as existing site has been such nightmare to do anything with as it was not built with the future in mind right back at the start of the Internet. Hopefully new one (like my new 101Christiansocoialnetwork.com) will be easier and I can finally have a life – go on a holiday or 2 or perhaps get married someday as really it has prohibited me to this point – my own doing so not complaining – in my ignorance and excited-ness (word?) to help Christian singles I bit off way more than I could chew).

I mean ‘have a life’ slightly tongue in cheek as I have been so blessed really in terms of where I live in the world and family etc – but fusion has been really hard going and often taken me out completely and put me in bed (I’m not one to give in easily – perhaps unwisely?!?). The PC here has been a permanent source of migraines but thankfully now under control and lessening each month. Whilst the old site has been very effective at helping Christians meet and marry – it has been really difficult to manage for 1 person – to continually try to develop it and fix it’s numerous and seemingly never ending bugs – I had to start again from scratch (something I already did 3 times and had to abandon the unfinished work and never ending expenses).

The new singles site

At first sight you may not be blown away but it (it does not look too different from the front end) a lot of the need to upgrade is for me to do less sitting behind a PC and get more fit (I’m not young any more:) This means I can actually concentrate on making the service better rather than all day and night fighting fires and bugs and trying to devise ways round the site’s shortcomings. The new site will have more (and crucially working) features and an app for iPhone and Android.

101 is now well organised

It seems finally my work over the last 2 years has paid off as I meticulously organised my sites with a new platform that is constantly being bug-fixed and upgraded (by someone else!). I also spent a lot of time learning how to manage most of the parts (site/server/maintenance and dev) myself so managing and developing the sites should now become an interesting job (a bit like how it started off) rather than a nightmare – praise be to God:) I reckon another 2-3 weeks and you may see something.
