Fusion101 free Christian singles finally gets a ‘mobile’ update! I put the word ‘mobile’ in commas as it’s not been a true mobile update, just a few tweaks that I could afford to make the old site viewable on different devices, but it’s by no means truly mobile site – just the best I can do for now.
If you don’t know the history of 101 Christian dating which was designed in 1998/9 and launched in 2000, I was not able to advance or update the site from 2001 all the way up to 2014 as I somehow managed to get my site and myself tied up with two private individual developers (I made the same mistake twice) who I found out too late were really not really interested in helping me help Christians but in taking the site off me – as having done all the hard work to get search engine ranking and hundreds of people joining each week it was have been their ideal business.
This happened as at the time I knew nothing about the tech side of running a website and the site – or the server to be more exact, would crash every so many years and so I had to find someone to put it back online. Having been shafted by host companies I was determined not be be conned by another company so was talked into using lone developers twice – a huge mistake that cost me 15 years of my life – over £100 and untold amounts of stress.
If only I had taken my brother’s advice and gone to a company 101 would have been light years ahead of where it is now, helped an untold number of Christian singles rather than 100’s, and I would be married and healthier etc etc. That said – perhaps God wanted me to learn to trust Him and trust my instincts which told me that I was making a mistake – but I panicked and did not trust God and my member’s and I paid a massive price – 15 years of inactivity and stagnation.
The good news is during that time I learned than managing the server was a pice of cake, stopped paying silly money for what amounted to a few hours work a week and took back control (after issuing an ultimatum I must add for good money, accommodation and food paid for I must add).
The point is that in the near future – from 2015 on, having reduced stress levels to a normal human level, got my health under control and moved large sections of the site to a new and also 15 year overdue CMS, I am really going to attempt to do what I set out to do all those nearly two decades ago and really help single Christians meet compatible – or at least real believers and spouses!
